RAY7: I am basically an optimist. I see our economy as healthy and stable. It is still marked by seasons of growth and seasons of decline, but its roots have remained strong. Despite the changing seasons, our economy has persisted in an upward course, rebounding from the blackest calamities.

Today life resume as normal... Life is a rush in New York City...non stop action...Everyone rushing to work... queeing for food..shouting over the phones.. banging on table with the 'F' word flying around...busy minding their own business... rapid n mind-blowing heartbeat. Thats my kind of day but I loved it n cant have enuf of it. There is no such day as 'everyday' in RAY7 world coz u just wont know wats goin to happen the very next second.

911 u came burning down our builings n took lifes. u destroy our metal, glass n flesh but u failed to destroy our spirit. We r stronger day after day. It s been a long tough road, but its been a great road.

Story Outline :

Basically, the whole series happened within thirty days, one day per episode. This series centred on three cops: Fung Chi Wai, Vincent, and Ah Tung. It began on April 1st, 2004. The attempted assassination of the appointed Chief Police Officer, Wong Jung Yeung, was the outbreak of the main plot of the story. Fung Chi Wai was the West Kowloon police officer who fell in love with Hao Mun Wa?s girlfriend, Peng Wei. Vincent only had thirty days to live due to brain cancer, which was at its terminal stage. He tried to accomplish his task of arresting Hao Mun Wa within thirty days. Ah Tung was a police undercover staying inside Hao Mun Wa?s coterie.

Storyline:

Uncle Steven aka Cowboy n his wife came to our place to visit. Mum got a frozen Thai durian from a nearby supermarket. I tried to open it but it's just too hard so I ask uncle cowboy to do it. He's failed too. the Durian is just to hard to pen in a frozen state. It's needed to be defrozed 1st. So we wrapped it out for it to defroze n makan the next day. Later, we went to makan 'chai' (vegetarian food) for dinner.

Storyline:

Like the protagonist of LATE MARRIAGE, writer-director Dover Kosashvili was born in Georgia (of the former USSR) and raised in Israel. Kosashvili's provocative debut feature is a very funny, but sometimes painful account of one man’s late journey of self-discovery. Zaza (Lior Loui Ashkenazi) is thirty-one years old, and his parents, Yasha (Moni Moshonov) and Lily (the director’s own mother, Lili Kosashvili), are supporting him while he attends grad school. They believe in the traditions of "the old country," and they are distraught and embarrassed because their only son is not married. After many abortive attempts to arrange a marriage for him, they discover that Zaza is having a torrid affair with Judith (Ronit Elkabetz). Zaza’s parents won’t let him marry Judith because she’s older than Zaza, she’s divorced, and she has a nine-year-old daughter, Madona (Sapir Kugman). It’s a familiar story, but Kosashvili eschews easy laughs, stereotypes, and clichés in favor of subtly performed, well-observed family drama. Just sign up for a year of membership at a recreation centre in Rego Park, Queens. They offer court n facilities for badminton, volleyball, basketball, ping pong n gym. All that for a mere 50USD. What a great deal!! It's partly sponsored by the government. That's y. A nice n clean environment to exercise n burn out those extra fat. Played a few games of badminton with James n some Indonesian 'sifu' there. Lots of bloody power smashing player. I mean Real Player. Im just kacang putih compare to them. So i just played quietly at one corner until I reach the ultimum level, which I don't know when n hope it won't take forever... hahaha..then when I power power liow I'll show them the 'Malaysia Boleh' power..hahah...

Spurs Take The Trophy In Battle Of Two Champions

With the NBA title on the line, Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs proved themselves worthy champions.

Duncan came up huge in the second half and was chosen finals MVP after having the worst playoff series of his career, and Manu Ginobili had another breakthrough performance Thursday night to lead the Spurs past the Detroit Pistons 81-74 in a Game 7 that was as thrilling as it was rare.

In a matchup of the past two NBA champions, the Spurs came through in the clutch to win their third title in seven years and deny Detroit the chance to repeat.

The Spurs are certainly not a dynasty, but their staying power as a championship caliber team helps validate a legacy that history will respect.

Duncan had 25 points and 11 rebounds while shrugging off a stretch of eight straight misses that ended in the third quarter with the teams tied. Ginobili scored 23 points with a series of slashing, scintillating drives and big passes.

Robert Horry is used to holding the NBA Finals trophy.

Behind Duncan, the stoic established star, and Ginobili, the flashy young Argentine, the first Game 7 in more than a decade ended with the Spurs celebrating on their home court.

The NBA had waited a long time for a game with so much at stake and so little room for error. And the difference came in the fourth quarter, when the Spurs were able to make the plays the Pistons couldn't.

Midway through the period, Ginobili assisted on a 3-pointer by Robert Horry and Duncan found Bruce Bowen alone outside the arc for another 3 that put San Antonio ahead 67-61. Detroit pulled within four before the Duncan-Ginobili combo clicked perfectly on two straight possessions.

First, Ginobili drove the lane and drew Duncan's defender, zipping a pass to Duncan all alone on the baseline for a 19-footer. Next, Duncan had three defenders collapsing on him when he saw Ginobili all alone at the 3-point line. The shot was perfect, and San Antonio led 72-65 with 2:57 left.

Detroit's next three possessions brought an airball, a foul shot and an offensive foul, but all San Antonio could produce over that shot was a single free throw by Duncan. The score was 73-68 entering the final minute when Ginobili made the play that clinched it, weaving through several defenders for a layup that was almost too easy, making it 75-68.

The Pistons, who were outscored 24-17 in the final quarter, couldn't recover.

Detroit had won 10 straight postseason games with a chance to eliminate its opponent and was trying to become the first team in NBA history to win two Game 7s on the road in a postseason. As resilient as they were, that turned out to be too tall of a task.

Lord of The Ring 2 - The Two Towers

I just watched Lord of The Ring 2 - The Two Towers on VCD. Yeah Yeah, I know it's an old movie but I din't bother to watch it 2 years ago coz I was thinking that it'll be boring like Part 1. I watch Part 1 in Australia. Part 1 was a total disappointment. Then I watch the Part 3 in Malaysia coz the trailer was great, massive army of orcs. Indeed, it was awesome and lots of fighting n killing. The troops is massive n the scenery is beyond imagination. That's the best war movie so far after BraveHeart.

I got Part 2 like 3 mths ago but didn't bother to watch it. Since I got nothin to do today. I decided to go over all the VCDs and DVDs that I miss out. Found out 7 of those VCDs n DVDs that's been deserted. I pick out Lord of The Ring Part 2 n play it.

To my surpise, the movie turn out real good. Man, I don't know what I've been missing out so far until I actually watch the Part 2. The scenery was so so amazing. I want to tour New Zealand!!! Storyline was so so. Fighting was so so oso but everything is better compare to the Part 1. Part 1 sux man. I fall zzzzz half way into the show.

If some of u guys are like me, missing out Part 2 or Part 3 of Lord of The Ring. PLs pls go n rent or buy it in DVD. Like I said, u don't know what u are missing until u watched it.

Hispanic people make up a substantial percentage of the population of New York City, and Puerto Ricans are one of the largest ethnic groups in the city. The Puerto Rican Day Parade, held the second Sunday in June, attracts about 3 million spectators. It is the largest gathering of its kind for Puerto Ricans in the world. This spirited parade meanders down Fifth Avenue between 44th and 86th streets, and local and Puerto Rican entertainers, politicians and sports figures all take part.

At the event, you''ll quickly note signs of guys responding to the ladies and their questionably provocative manner of dress and behavior. Alcohol & marijuana is everywhere.

For the parade, crowds and their control have seemed to be a lot more civil between 42nd and 59th Sts. with levels decreasing the farther north you go. Your greatest threat will likely come to your eyes/face getting hit by tips of mini-flags being fervidly waved by everyone in the dense crowd.

Although Sunday's celebration was generally peaceful, a police officer suffered minor cuts to his hand during a dispute. There were also a stabbing and the arrest of 224 people, including several suspected gang members, on charges that include unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct. Two patrolmen assigned to the parade were suspended for allegedly drinking on duty.

Big Shot Bob did it again. Robert Horry, whose clutch postseason 3-pointers have defined his career, knocked down a wide-open 3-pointer with 5.8 seconds left in overtime Sunday night to give the San Antonio Spurs a 96-95 victory against the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Spurs took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, bouncing back from a pair of lopsided losses to defeat the defending champs in their building and send the series back to San Antonio needing one more victory for their third title in seven years.

Horry inbounded from the left sideline near midcourt with 9.4 seconds left, finding Manu Ginobili in the corner. Detroit’s defenders collapsed on Ginobili and left Horry wide-open for the return pass.

Detroit had one final chance after Horry’s shot, but Richard Hamilton missed a runner from the lane and Bruce Bowen rebounded to end it, allowing the Spurs to run off jubilant.

After four blowouts, this was the type of game everyone had been waiting almost two weeks to see: an intense, closely-fought nail-biter befitting of a championship series. The fourth quarter was close throughout, with clutch shots coming from Billups and Hamilton for the Pistons, and Robert Horry and Manu Ginobili of San Antonio.

The player who wasn’t hitting the big ones was two-time NBA Finals MVP Tim Duncan, who missed six straight foul shots and a putback at the end of the fourth quarter that would have won it for the Spurs.

Duncan also missed San Antonio’s first two shots of overtime and lost control of an entry pass with 56 seconds left in the extra period with Detroit ahead 95-93.

An offensive rebound gave Detroit two possessions while running down the final minute of overtime, but before Billups missed on a drive with 9.4 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Horry knocked down the 3 that won it.

At the end of regulation, Ginobili dribbled the clock down and drove on Tayshaun Prince, but missed the shot. Duncan was there for the rebound, grabbed the ball with two hands and had a wide-open chance for an easy putback, but his shot somehow came up short to send the game to overtime.

I got myself 4 pairs of Abercrombie n Fitch jeans (low waist, boot cut, straight cut, stone wash, flair n faded blue), a pair of Express jeans n a pair of GAP jeans. Went to Greater New York Billy Graham Crusade Language Committee Youth Convergence Event at Korean Presbyterian Church in Flushing, Queens. 500 over pple attended the event, mostly youth from divert background & culture.

It’s a night of live praise n worship with bands like El Trio De Hoy from Puerto Rico, Joyful Praise Ministries & Jesus Generation. El Trio De Hoy is a popular Christian band. They performance is great n they manage the get the crowds to dance along with their energetic performances. They got to perform a few Puerto Rico praise songs as well. Learn a new word, ‘Sam Buay le’ in Puerto Rico means God Bless U. El Trio De Hoy is definitely made out of a bunch of talented souls.

Jesus Generation is a youth band. Pretty good acoustic guitar praise n worship performed. Another youth band, Joyful Praise Ministries take on the lead to praise. Nice.

There’s sermons & prayers along the event by various pastor from different churches. Which make it sort like a cultural fellowship. How Cool. The 3 major language committees are represented by Dr. Joseph Young Choon Chang, Chairperson of Billy Graham Korean Language committee, Senior Pastor Of Korean American Presbyterian Church of Queens. Rev. Dr. Adolfo Carrion, chairperson of Billy Graham Spanish language committee, Superintendent Emeritus of Spanish Eastern District, Assembly of God. Rev. Dr. Isaiah Tingson, Chairperson of Billy Graham Chinese Language Committee, senior pastor of Overseas Chinese Mission New York.

The 2 & a half hour ended at 9.30pm. Giants banners & poster of Billy Graham Crusade ‘Concert of Hope’ is given out to promote the upcoming outreach event that will be held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park on June 25, which is next Saturday. I’ll be going. Hope to see u guys there. Till then, ‘sam buay le’.

Last Friday, I worked half day, finish at 3.00pm. Went for a walk at Times Sq, then came across this guy who was passing out leaflet promoting Church of Scientology n I was told that there was a free show going on. I have no idea what the show was all about, but I decided to give it a try since I got nothing better to do. The Church is just a few blocks down 45 ST. Just to give u guys an idea, Scientology is an applied religious philosophy.It is a beliefs that Tom Cruise n Katie Holmes goes crazy gogogaga about it. Ok, let the tour begins now:

But after some serious listening, they are nothing in common with all the other angry bands u’ve ever listen to. They are hard to be categorized. Their song ‘Happy?’ have an opening like the Staind but 10 second into the song it all burst out to heavy angry yearning voice. Creative!! Nice to listen to yet manage to stir the aggression in me. Spurs are a reminder of how good basketball can be

Thank you, Spurs, for restoring that one element that's been missing in these NBA Finals. It has been easy to forget just how enjoyable the game can be in this series, with a dreadful Game 1 sandwiched between the elaborate sideshows and the threat of a lockout next month. It was easy to forget there were any games at all during the two days off to accommodate ABC's scheduling wishes.

Then Game 2 finally arrived, and the San Antonio Spurs reminded us why their best efforts are the best the NBA has to offer as they beat the Detroit Pistons, 97-76. We all know the Phoenix Suns provide the most entertaining offense. But they aren't capable of the kind of effort on defense that limited the Pistons to 36 percent shooting and 19 points in the first quarter, when this game essentially was decided.

In three trips to the Finals the Spurs still haven't allowed an opponent to score 90 points, a string that reached 13 games Sunday night. The Spurs stand as the model franchise right now. Their front office is like a business seminar and for stretches, such as the first half of Game 2, the team is like a basketball clinic.

Sunday it was Manu Ginobili, the scoring star of Game 1, becoming a playmaker and setting the tone with seven assists and still managing to fall into 27 points. It was their star player, Tim Duncan, retreating to the background to check for -- ho-hum -- just another double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. It was Bruce Bowen, harassing Richard Hamilton into a five-for-15 shooting night and still having enough left in his legs to knock down four three-pointers and score 15 points.

It was the sneaky play of Robert Horry, catching the Pistons napping to get backcourt steals. The Spurs had 23 assists on their 29 baskets. Even the losing coach, Larry Brown, had to say, ``That was beautiful to watch, in terms of their execution.''

The Spurs, meanwhile, might want to start putting the champagne on ice.

Sony Ericsson Announces W600 Walkman Phone

It may not be an iPod killer, but Sony Ericsson's new W600 "Walkman" phone is a step in the right direction for reducing the number of gadgets that geeks lug around with them.

Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new phone that bears Sony's "Walkman" brand name. This is the second "Walkman" phone that the group has released. Many industry analysts believe that the biggest threat to iPods digital dominance will come in the form of a combined mobile phone/music player. The W600 sports a 176 x 220 pixel rotating display, 3d graphics, Bluetooth, 256Mb of memory and of course MP3/AAC playback abilities. The new phone also includes an FM tuner.

The phone's internal memory should be about enough for storing and listening to 4 CDs worth of music when encoded as CD-quality MP3’s. The W600 includes built-in stereo speakers and a jack for a headset.

Sony Ericsson claims that the phone will playback 30 hours of music with the phone off or 15 hours with it on. The new phone is scheduled for release sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
